The Departments aims:

We believe in the development of the whole person through a balanced education and in particular the confidence which grows in an individual through an understanding of his/her visual perceptions and aesthestic experiences. It is our policy to provide opportunities for each student for personal expression; to encourage imagination, sensitivity, conceptual thinking, powers of observation, analytical abilities and practical oriented attitudes. We also believe in creating a teaching/learning environment, in which all students feel confident to celebrate their own achievements and the achievement of others – an environment in which we value the contribution of each individual.

Facilities :

All classrooms are equipped with overhead projectors.

Every classroom contains an Interactive Whiteboard.

All teachers have their own laptop computer

Music department has 25 computers with all the newest music programmes.

A full range of instruments for the students to acquaint themselves with.

Hard disk recording equipment for music technology and exam recordings.

2 fully equipped practice rooms and a percussion suite.

The Art department has 2 fully equipped classrooms and a studio reserved for sixth form students. With facilities for working with oils, watercolours, chalks, plaster and timber. All forms of artistic technique are covered. We are eagerly awaiting the delivery of our new kiln. We have a purpose built 250 all seater auditorium with new lighting & sound system including a backstage area and 3 dressing rooms.
